22. Case study (Introduction)

In my case study, I would like to deal with the issue of improving cities in terms of facilities for the disabled and the elderly. An article written in 2017 by Zulqarnain Rashid describes this case very well. Many cities are still not adapted to people in wheelchairs or the blind. In his case study, Rashid focuses on the use of IoT and AR (augmented reality) to support people with physical disabilities. The author describes a system that uses IoT sensors in conjunction with an AR application to help people with disabilities navigate in urban space.
